Kgaugelo Nkadimene is a dedicated advocate for early learning and education. She is the founder of the Early Learning Hub-SA.
She is a passionate educator and social scientist with a commendable academic background and a diverse professional portfolio. She holds a BA degree in Social Sciences, augmented by three postgraduate qualifications from esteemed institutions, including the University of Limpopo, University of KwaZulu-Natal, and Rhodes University. In addition, she obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of South Africa and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree, further enhancing her expertise in the field.
Kgaugelo commenced her career at the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA), where she gained valuable insights into governance and community development. She then transitioned to the financial sector, working at two prominent financial institutions before discovering her true calling in education. Her teaching journey has spanned both private and public schools, including an enriching international experience in China, where she taught learners from diverse backgrounds.
Motivated by her commitment to improving education quality from the ground up, Kgaugelo joined Funda Wande, an organization collaborating with the Department of Education focused on foundation phase education. Her work has emphasized the importance of early learning, as she strives to foster a solid academic foundation for young learners. In addition to her project work, Kgaugelo serves as a part-time lecturer at Rhodes University, where she trains seasoned teachers and Department of Education officials in best practices for foundation phase education.
Kgaugelo is particularly passionate about youth empowerment and educational initiatives, having participated in several impactful projects such as the Zazi iZandi pilot study, the LITASA conference, the Reading Academy, and the Funda Wande TA project. Her dedication and contributions to the field of education were recognized in 2022 when she was awarded the Ultimate Contributor Award by Funda Wande, celebrating her significant impact on the organization
